HELLO!

Thank you for landing here and being curious. I’ve been working with private clients and practicing solo for many years. Now I want to open the doors, share what I’ve been working on, and connect with more of you. I’m launching this platform-community ready-to-grow.

I’ll begin with a range of themed classes in my Summer/Fall Pop-Up Series, as a kind of beta test to see what works and what’s needed. Our exchange is key! At the top of each month, I’ll drop my schedule. New classes may be added throughout the month. All classes are pay-what-you-can with a suggested donation.

If you can’t make any of these live classes, excerpts will be on YouTube with snippets on IG.

After this initial series, I will launch a membership program while continuing accessible pricing options.

I’d love your help building a community where all bodies are welcome.

Love,
Lily

My classes source multiple trainings, 20 + years of teaching, a professional dance career, experiences with disability.

Classes incorporate a range of practices that include physical sequences, breathwork and meditation for your curation, based on your needs. I offer what’s worked for me.

FORM AND VOID
Goals are to feel powerful, clear and peaceful. My approach works with the whole body as an energetic and structural biomechanical system: muscular, skeletal, vascular, glandular and neurological networks in synthesis with mind, heart & soul.

STRENGTH, HEALING, CREATIVITY, LEADERSHIP/ACTIVISM.
We will explore articulate strength, injury prevention and recovery, stress reduction, energizing with fatigue, reshaping limiting beliefs, navigating trauma, developing intuitive capacity and cognitive function.

RESILIENCE
My injuries, sickness, and pain have been fierce teachers on my body’s fragility and resilience. During these immobilizing times, I discovered that I am much more than my physical body. A virtuosic body is not limited to shape and function –  it is one honed by its capacity to listen, engage  and project with clarity and stamina.

CURIOSITY
I am deeply fascinated by how the body is always changing in response to its environment and how we treat it. Perceived “weakness” are tools for growth and innovation. I believe our body-mind-self shapes perception which impacts reality.

ABOUT lily

Lily received her first E-RYT 500 yoga certification in 2004, followed by Pilates Mat certification. She began teaching in sports clubs until co-founding Hatch NYC, LLC in 2006, a fitness, wellness and therapeutic company where she managed a roster of teachers, specializing in individual and group classes ranging from law firms, hedge funds, prisons, nonprofits, arts and entertainment businesses.

Her clients are a spectrum of able-bodied and disabled individuals, including triathletes, teens, executives, elders, doctors, mothers, those living with MS, with prosthetic mobility devices, to other dancers and artists.

Lily’s creative approach to teaching sources extensive training and experience with her own body as a professional dancer. She has performed with The Metropolitan Opera Ballet, the Trisha Brown Dance Company, David Byrne on his world tour of Everything That Happens Will Happen Today album made with Brian Eno, among other NYC choreographers including Faye Driscoll, Netta Yerushalmy, Annie B. Parsons, and David Neumann.

In 2017 sudden illness and injury left her immobilized with severe pain. Navigating this time and recovering from a hip replacement informs her teachings. She has studied the Alexander Technique and functional anatomy with Irene Dowd, along with other somatic therapies, and has a penchant for neuroscience and esoterica. In 2020 she received her Kundalini teacher training. She is also a certified Zero Balancing practitioner, a therapy that uses skilled touch to address the relationships between energy and structures within the body.

Lily also works as a filmmaker, artist and performer across NYC and Berlin.

Testimonials

"She has been instrumental in helping me heal from several injuries and a surgery. Not only is Lily a master of yoga practice and instruction, she also seamlessly incorporates a holistic/spiritual element in her teaching which elevates her above the instructors who provide a generic off-the rack experience."

-DR. SARAH, PSYCHIATRIST

"I thought I didn’t like yoga until I met Lily. Her attention, precision, and enthusiasm have completely transformed my practice and my life throughout our 18 years working together. Lily is absolute magic and anyone would be lucky to get to work with her. "

-JESSICA, RUNNER AND BUSINESS ENTREPRENEUR

"I feel energized, more connected to myself and ready to work after Lily’s classes. My headaches are minimized, and I’m left with tools to use on my own. Her approachable and comprehensive teaching feels authentic amidst an overwhelming, generic and commodity-driven wellness industry."

-KYLE, ARTIST
